I remember shopping at the Dollar Store as a treat when I was younger. It was a special trip for me at the time. I also know some moms may need to be shopping at the Dollar Store out of necessity. This is a great, frugal option in our economy. This is a great way to supplement items on your list to cut the budget! There are some wonderful options and plenty of products you can regularly purchase at the Dollar Store:

Save Some cash, Buy Toothbrushes & Toothpaste at the Dollar Store:

They carry brand name items! I was pleasantly surprised to find the big names of toothpaste brands at the Dollar Store! Stock up while you are there.

Stay on Budget with Baggies from the Dollar Store:

I get baggies of all sizes from the dollar store: Sandwich, Quart size and gallon size!

Save on Shower Curtain Liners:

This mandatory bathroom supply is annoying to remember. I actually buy 4 at a time now. Not only do we go through a lot of shower curtain liners, especially with the humidity, but I also use them as cheap drop cloths for painting and kids projects! It covers the floor or the carpet. Then I just throw it away, no big deal! Great option for creative projects as well as in your shower.

Epsom Salt:

If you utilize epsom salt in your family (and you should, it has such awesome healing properties!), it can get pretty expensive. I give baby Harry epsom salt baths to detox, especially when he is sick. I also soak in the epsom salt myself, especially when I am sore or sick. I believe in the health properties of magnesium and salt. In my single days of so much free-time, I used to actually float in the salt sensory tanks for hours! It was so healing. So I use my epsom salt generously in our regular routine. The dollar store is a great option for purchasing your epsom salt on a budget!

Save on your budget, with Paper Plates:

Save on your next party! Grab those paper supplies form the dollar store! You’ll need plates, cups, bowls. They even have disposable shot glasses now! You can also get your disposable cooking tins, utensils, serving bowls. You name it! If you are looking for some more Birthday Budget Ideas: Click Here.

Kleenex/ Paper Towels Savings:

I feel the Dollar Store Paper products are very comparable to the brand name paper products! I use them regularly, and would recommend them to my fellow boss moms!

Budgeting for your First Aid Items for your Family:

You need to keep updated on your safety and first aid kits. Boo-boo’s will happen. You need to be prepared and organized. Stay on top of your safety products, stock up at the dollar store! Get all of your Band aids, rubbing alcohol, cotton swabs, large bandages, aloe. Anything you will need for health and safety, all in one place.

Save on Socks:

Everyone goes through tons of socks. It’s annoying when you have a pile of reject socks waiting to find their pair. When you need to stock up on some new socks for the family, why spend too much at the big box stores? The dollar store has plenty of cute options for the whole family, kids too!

Cut your budget, save on batteries:

You will save so much money with this tip! I find that the Dollar Store brand batteries last about as long as any name brand battery would last! As a mommy, I know how many batteries our family goes through. Its kinda crazy! I swear every kid toy needs batteries. I stock up on the sizes we go through the most, especially AA from the Dollar Store.

Sanitary pads:

Save on sanitary pads from the Dollar store, as well as pregnancy tests and ovulation tests! In my experience I can confidently say: Yes, they do work!

**Extra Tip:

Their Candles are cute and modern these days! They also have wonderful, seasonal scents!

So there we have it! Your list of items to buy from the Dollar Store. You need to save on your home budget each month, check out these great products from the dollar store.
